Summer Blues

Good day everyone! I know I have been MIA the past months- I have had my final exams (I passed them all with good grades and I´m attending a really cool uni next year yaaaay!) and I have been abroad the whole month of July (Florida). But now I´m back really motivated to continue uploading posts about fashion and whatnot so!

This year I have seen lots of pastel blues around the shops, and this summer has been a really good year for some rad outfits playing with pastels and warm colours mostly. They really remind me of the warm temperatures of summer, and these light tones really suit basically anyone with a good tan! (May I say this year has been the first I have been tan after four years of looking like a zombie even in summer).

JEAN STYLING // SPRING 2016

Firrrrst of all: HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! I hope all of you have had a piece of those chocolate eggs that I never get to buy but are so popular everywhere!

Saying that Easter has arrived makes me think two things: 1) YES!! CHOCOLATE FOR EVERYONE! and 2) YES!! SPRING AND MORE SUN FOR ME!! This last one may have more importance than the first -mainly because I eat a piece of chocolate everyday, so there is not much difference on my diet lol-, and that´s because I am soooo ready for the sun-kissed skintone. Also, warmer temperatures are coming along with new refreshing outfits, so yeah, that brings more happiness into my fashion world (if that makes any sense?).

This post is all about different types of in-jeans and ways to style said clothing, as it may be difficult to style these pants with new clothing pieces from the stores. As being a stylist is my main dream, this is something I love to do- and thanks to Polyvore, I do it a lot.

What a better way to welcome Spring than going out with killer outfits?

INTERIORS

Hi from the girl who has spent her past four days at home with the good company of the flu! Staying at home- specifically in bed all day- has drawn me to the idea of doing an interiors´ post, as I do find it as interesting and fun as clothes or makeup.

This being said, Tumblr and Pinterest have some really cool pictures of both luxurious, big houses that only Kylie Jenner can buy at the age of 18 and these really small, cozy flats that may be seen as rough or unattractive for some of you, but people like me absolutely love. I mean, who would want to clean a whole mansion when you can spend four hour as most cleaning your little studio? (Yep, I´m the laziest bum you have ever met).

As I always say, I´m more interested in the simple, white, grey and black things, instead of these too much furnitured and colourful flats some people are into. As someone who will be going to uni next year and is getting more mature in the personal independence topic, I love to look at inpiration for my oh-so-dreamed flat.

When it comes to talk about my ideal living place, I´m always thinking of some white or greyish walls, with not so much furniture- but the one that´s in there, has to also have neutral colours. Being able to express what you need or feel when you get home (calm, peace, some positive vibes) through colours is someting I want to achieve with my future living place. I want to arrive home, open my door, and be welcomed by these calming walls, lots of space to surround myself with and not so many furniture pieces that will make me feel stressed (yes, this sometimes happens to me).

I think some of my favourite pictures from Pinterest and Tumblr will make you visualise what I mean, haha.

JANUARY FAVOURITES // 2016

Hi there! My schedule has been really busy the whole month of January, which has made me disappear from the surface of the Earth- the fact of having lots of exams has made me stay at home for two weekends straight with no social communication with anyone.

Buuuuut every day I have done some Polyvore sets with my favourite pieces of the month, which have been the leather jacket with fur collar, Puma sneakers (sadly sold out), the baby blue bags, the Yeezy sneakers and tan coloured mini skirts, alongside some other complements: aviator glasses, chockers, Fendi´s Karlito keyring and the amazing Sephora mascara I have been using for the past seven months.

I have made a few sets to show you how I would style them (even though -sadly- I don´t own most of these things haha) and this way you get new ideas too!

Last but not least, hopefully this week I will try to get some photos taken with my new camera, and hopefully I won´t break it in the process. Much love! Kat xx

HAIRCARE 2016

Happy New Year (being a month late is not an important fact)! I hope everyone has started 2016 with a smile on their faces and good health. I think I´m the only blogger who hasn´t posted up what I got for Christmas lol, but I just need to learn how to use my camera first- this way I will upload my outfits and stuff. So until I have enough time to give myself more to this blog, I won´t be able to post good pictures (whish is pretty sad :-( ).

Anyway, I wanted to do a post about my favourite products of haircare, as it seems to be a topic not many people care about and as any other part of our bodies, it needs to be taken care of.

I have been using the Organix Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner for the past month and a half, and I wanted to clearly see any type of change in my hair before talking about them. Well, I firstly heard of them from Zoella, whose Youtube videos are my favourites. I must say that she was right on her video- these two DO make a difference on your hair after two weeks or so of using them. They make my hair waaaaaay much softer than it was before and I do find a difference on my split ends, which is something I haven´t seen before. At first I was a bit unsure as my hair felt weird, the texture seemed to be different after using these products. But now I find it as something positive, as my hair is softer and shinier. I would recommend them without hesitation-  you will love the smell!

Coconut oil is something that is appearing in more and more people´s lives everyday- and our hair is pretty much thankful for it. Coconut oil is usually put at the ends, only a small amount, after washing your hair. I have been told to put the "leftovers" on my scalp (but only whats left after using it on your ends; if you put a lot of it on your scalp it will get pretty oily and that´s not what we want), which helps with the growth and health of the hair. It has a price range that goes from 5€ to 30€ more or less, so each one should see how much they want to spend on that.

Finally, the tangle teezer is the last product on my list. This hair brush has been a salvation for my hair- it doesn´t break it as much as the other brushes, and untagles it in the smoothest way possible. Give it a go, it isn´t expensive and your hair will thank you for the rest of your life.

I hope you liked this haircare post, and I would love to know what else you think I should try to get my hair healthier! Thank you and have a great day xx

2015 winter wishlist

This year is coming to and end - sadly, but at the same time thankfully- to give 2016 a new and fresh start. Each one of us has had a different year, a different opinion, different experiences.
But hey, some clothing articles are here to stay for a long time, not matter what year it is. Here are my new picks for the last time this year!

2015 winter wishlist

-Zara waistcoat: this has been a revolution in a great scale for waistcoats- with detachable fur collars, they make you look really chic and feel warm everywhere except your arms. Anyway, I haven´t got myself one because I myself prefer capes, but this Zara one has reached my heart I swear!
-H&M cape: Capes are being seen pretty much a lot in both runaways and on the streets, and how can you say no to the more affordable ones? They haven´t been much in the spotlight in the past 40 years butthey came back from the holidays and are becoming a staple in many people´s wardrobes!
-Yeezy sneakers: Kanye West´s clothing line is one of the most comfortable looking line I have ever laid my eyes on. Even though it´s pretty pricey, it has gone viral in the past two years and I must say I dream of getting something from there. You go Kanye! (P. s. these aren´t available for now so I can´t link them for you, sorry!)
-YSL Sac de Jour bag: this bag has been the death of me for I don´t know how long. The brand itself has been great lately, and I would bring most of their pieces home. I have seen many celebrities and non-celebrities rock it in such a cool way, I could say this is my dream bag. Hands down best bag of the year.
-Dior sunglasses: their different shape has drawn the attention of many bloggers, mine included. Such originality isn´t very common, in a way that akes these sunnies so attractive for the human eye. I really love these!
-Fendi bag and Karlito phone case: Fendi and its little monsters are an example of how fashion can be really fun when you want to. This bag is pretty simple and has nothing outstanding, while the Karlito phone case is something I find cute and funny everytime I look at it.
-Office booties: these snake print booties are something I have been chasing after for sooooo long. They are pretty easy to style and trendy this season, so grab a pair while you can!
-YSL polka dot bag: Polka dots are always fun, a good change in the wardrobe, but you can get tired of them easily. As I only have one article with little white dots all over it, and I have started to be a little bit too attracted to this pattern. Everyone can agree that polka dots look great in bags!
-YSL booties: high heel is something YSL makes it look pretty attractive as shoes. We can see many times Hailey Baldwin wearing boots from Saint Laurent, and they just look perfect for a night out or even in your everyday life. I adore this pair so much, especially the chain complement in the front.
-H&M fur jacket: this type of jacket has gone viral in the past year- bringing back the 70-80´s vibe along with chockers. It keeps you warm and if you love the fashion trends from 20 years ago, go and get this!
-ASOS velvet choker: I´ve been trying to find the perfect one in the shops I usually buy in but I guess this ASOS one has caught my eye. Simple and perfect, it make syou look kind of grunge and gives you that 90´s vibes that your parents were into (maybe).
-Bella Freud 1970 candle: for the past three months I have been burning vanilla candles non stop, and I won´t until a) I can´t afford them anymore or b) my mum forbiddens me to continue burning them. This one is a little bit pricey but the container is just so cool, I had to add it to my wishlist.
-Lola Hats pom-pom cap: these hats have been pretty trendy for the past few months and the pom-poms that have been added to them makes anyone look a hundred times cuter, seriously. If I find an affordable one around here I will waste no time on buying it.
